our youngest daughter is moving from Tacoma WA area to Maryland as her DH go a job there and can get the education from a particular university near his new job. She'll be staying at mi sister's house in Ohio on Feb. 14th, which is about a 6.5 hour drive from U.P. Michigan. I'm gonna go down with the DW and visit her, my sister, and out grandaughter. We'll go down on Saturday and stay for Saturday and Sunday night, and drive home on Monday. you can bet that I'm looking forward to that.
Hi Alix; You're a great lady to have remembered my wife. Her back is getting stronger each day. She's walking better and is making a mile on the indoor track while I briskly walk two miles at least 3 times a week. I've lost 24 lbs. since Christmas. I will continue the regime indefinitely. I feel stronger already. D.W. is only allowed to bend until her fingertips reach to her knees. The spinal cord bone is mending where the old bone was removed. For it to knit together properly, she has to maintain a limited range of motion, and no lifting over 10 lbs. I'm getting her out of the house more. We went to a cousin's hockey game last Saturday and watched him and his team take third place in the tournament. That was fun.
Taxes are calling, and so I will let you go my friend. I only wish you lived closer so we could really get to know each other, and have barbecues, and such things that good friends do. :-)
Thanks Alix. I needed that right now. My world is a pretty full of stress. My wife just had back surgery and I've taken on the entire Christmas load, as well as new callings that I hold very important in my church, that haven't been fulfilled completely due to being the primary caregiver to my wife. Things will lighten up soon, I hope. And then i'll be back to my cheery, if nutty self again.
