Hey Miss Beth...How are ya? Was thinking about you just the other day, and wondering how your tomato crop was coming. --- Mine got off to a slow start, but came on strong – We were picking a 5 gallon bucket full every other day....Canning sometimes everyday...mostly juice. During the month of June and most of July we couldn’t buy a drop of rain, so watering was a must every two or three days in the 100* heat....Then the rains started and wouldn’t quit...Things have gone down hill from there...both in quantity and quality. The fruit is splitting, and sometimes souring on the vine even with picking everyday. Yesterday afternoon, I bet I threw away 50+ tomatoes, while only bringing maybe 15 to the house, and they were just fair in quality ---Oh well, we’ve gorged ourselves daily on them, and filled the pantry full for the winter....All things considered it has been a good year. The (small) fall crop doesn’t look very promising however....We’ll see!

Well I missed you being around these parts..so just want to check on ya...
Does one ever get caught up?? It seems not here!!!!....Picked 14 lbs yellow crook neck this morning...15 lbs yesterday, and it just really started making....Giving most of it away as we really don't need it for the freezer...It has plenty...We will eat it twice daily until whenever ...have to watch DW...or she'll be eating it for breakfast!!! She loves it!!!

Thanks Beth, I'm trying to rest as much as I can. I took the rest of the hamburger mix, added some Italian sausage that has a bite to it and made Gil a meatloaf for dinner..It smells wonderful but it's not for me tonight..to spicy, he will love it.
