I really don't know about the refreezing. I guess I have always thought (and I'm going on just general knowledge) that was a no no. I could be wrong and I know you are right about the fact that the g-stores probably do that on a regular basis.

What the hell is wrong with people and family???? Why can't we just set our differences aside and learn to love one another??? I say that knowing we have the same friggin issues. Life is soooo short... I just wish for once that people can accept us for who we are (specially family) and just enjoy each other's company.

As for the fresh turkey... I'm not sure it is worth it.... dang turkey cost twice, almost three times as much as the frozen deal. Actually, you just gave me an idea... wonder if the butcher could whack a frozen one up for me????? Hmmmmmm

Well, since there is only the two of us, cooking a whole turkey is a waste to me. So I got a freshie... and whacked it up so we will get at least 5 meals out of it for the two of us. And I can try a different recipe everytime I cook it. And not to mention that i have a turkey carcass to make turkey stock from! So that is why I did it. And if by the off chance we get invited somewhere, I'm sure they will send turkey home with us! We must look needy or something! LOL. It stinks that you are feuding, specially now that he is back from Iraq and the holidays.
