Thanks for the points GF. It's not that I think Potted Meat is the be-all/end-all sandwich meat. It isn't even on the same planet as great bacon for a BLT. But, like you said, it sure makes a tasty sandwich every now and again.

I started the thread for a bit of amusement, to see what reactions would be. But then, I started reacting to the thought that many people turn their collective noses up at perfectly good food for no perfectly good reason. If you don't like the large fat or sodium content of the stuff, that's understandable. If you don't enjoy the flavor or texture, then that's Ok too. But when people eat the cheapest hot dogs from the Wall Mart shelves, you know, the ones made from all parts of the pic, cow, and chicken, and then state that potted meat is disgusting do to its ingredients, then they are just talking through thier hat.
