Well, Miss Paranoid, did go and talk to her favorite pharmacist and the first question she asked me about the low sodium level was "are you taking a diuretic"? yes, was it prescribed, yes, daily...........ok are you taking calcium supplements......OMG.....horse pills 2-3 a day.......well, she concluded that both of those in combo could be the contributing factors to a low sodium reading........told me to stop panicking and just wait and see what the new blood test shows......so I'm trying.........she said that both calcium and sodium were positive ions (I know------I've done a pretty good job of blanking out chemistry from my high school experience) but I still remember the positive plus signs next to Na and Ca. So there are still some brain cells still left functioning.........she said that the two positive ions could be contributing to more secretion of the sodium as well as the diuretic. Ok, we'll see.......Mav.......I really hope that all goes well with your heart tests since you're still having some pain and numbness......definitely have it checked out........

I once had low potassium, but it went away quickly, never had low sodium levels, but it is not unheard of to happen on occasion and then correct itself.

I'm not sure what to do here. I'd like to post but don't know how to go about it. A bit concerned as I went to the doctor today to redo a blood sodium test today. Sodium was low and doctor was concerned. Mine was 122 and the norm is 135-145. I didn't think that was too horrible but he was concerned. He also has me on a diuretic and I'm a salt watcher and read all labels.......so we redid the test today and I have an apptmt. on Thursday when the results will be here.......anyone else ever have low sodium levels?? All my other ions (potassium, etc) were perfectly normal

It's a great outlet besides being the place I have learned what little I know about cooking. BTW I say your pics of your kids - they are so cute. Your son looks exactly like you and your daughters......well, you'd better get your shotgun out cuz you'll be running off boys for a long time.

No, you're right, that was bad. Especially since it makes me completely paranoid about someone doing something to my toothbrush! Don't they always say "Payback's a b***h"? Well, it's true.

See, I could tell! I'm very good at seeing into people's pasts - some say it's a gift.... OK, that's total crap but it sounds mysterious, doesn't it? LOL

This is true but remember, turn about is fair play my friend. I'd be willing to bet you've got a few devious moments in your past, too! LOL
