I won't be celebrating, as I generally avoid desserts, but it's National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. Ross can have my share.

Dinner tonight will be b/s chicken breasts on the grill, homemade cheese ravioli with Trader Joe's marinara, and roasted cauliflower. The chicken is dry brining right now, and I'll have to decide how I'll prepare it.

I've cooked 4 nights this week... That doesn't happen too often.. :ermm::ohmy:

So I told Jeannie nu huh... We are going to spend the night at a casino with D&SIL and let someone else cook.. :angel:

I have a pound of hamburger thawing for dinner tonight, but I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I just had meatloaf, so my choices could be Hamburger Helper, hamburger in rice, or hey! I just thought of having Swedish meatballs. Hmmm, I wonder if instead of making all those little meatballs I could just make the sauce and pour it over hamburger and rice.

I might go with this one.
 
We had summer rolls with green pepper, white beans, pimento peppers, carrots, cucumber, kale, and cabbage. Dressing/dipping sauces, peanut sauce and a tomato/onion type dressing.
 
Eye round roast, burgundy pan gravy, mashed red & yukons and steamed spinach.
 
Grilled skirt steak, brocoflower and black pepper/gruyere popovers.

Grilled jumbo scallops with a chili-lime-ginger cream sauce over Jasmine rice.
It was in this month's Costco Connection. It was fantastic! I've never grilled scallops before. Garnished with cilantro.
 
I think it is going to doctored up DiGiorno pizza tonight. It came with pepperoni, and I'll add some peppers and a chiffonade of fresh basil from the garden, and a drizzle of EVOO.

This will be my first harvest of jalapeños this year, and as usual, they are very mild. They will get hotter as the summer passes. By September, they will be scorching hot.

I did a little freezer exploring and came up with a small package of ham. We had that along with steamed broccoli and nuked Russet potatoes. Loaded garden salads, too, now that it's warm enough for that sort of thing.
