Hi mudbug, bit late getting here...

I had to google little penguin myself as I've never heard of it. It is marketed exclusively for the US and Canada. Its product comes from my home state of South Australia (also home of the Barossa Valley and Coonawarra wine regions).

Brooksy hails from the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales (approx 150 kms north of Sydney) - world famous wines.

Pleased you enjoyed it. Little Penguin is owned by Fosters Brewing.

Hi aussie sheila (sorry, I use any excuse to use my limited strine) -

Thanks for the info. My knowledge of Oz terrain is also pretty primitive, please forgive.

Figures that it's made just for us Yanks. Still not bad, tho.

No worries, mudbug :)

I would be the same if someone said to me about south-eastern America. That would be Florida and states there-about

Either way, the description on the label was too vague for anyone but a local aussie to know. Nothing to forgive.

Michael, I would love to try a Texan red. Im told that the warmer climates produce better red wines.

We are proud of our international exporter - Fosters. Most aussies here prefer the Carlton and United Breweries (CUB) products locally. Personally I cant stand the stuff.
