No, it is a MIM contest, and we don't compete in MIM, plus with the new restaurant, competing is on the back burner for a while.

There is a KCBS bbq contest in Gastonia this weekend. At the Harley shop.

It's a good event, if you get a chance to go.

We went last year and hung out with some of our cooking buddies. Met some of the big wig chefs from Johnson & Wales.

My husband and SIL are taking their "baby"...a chevy truck with a gorgeous paint job...to a car show in Murphysboro, Il today. Murphysboro is the home of the original 17th Street Bar and Grill, 3 time winner of the Memphis in May BBQ contest, and they are in the midst of their annual Apple Festival. He's promised to bring home some of their fantastic BBQ'd baby back ribs for supper. Can't wait! Yummeeeee!
