Golden Chicken

3 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1 stick butter
2 envelopes dry Italian Dressing Mix
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 cup water
1 8oz. pkg cream cheese
1/3 oz. chopped chives (better than those bulky green onions)
1 pkg. bowtie pasta

Place chicken in roaster or slow cooker. (I used my 18 qt. so there was no overlapping of meat, but I'm sure a crock pot would be fine)
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter on low heat, then add the dressing mix and stir thoroughly. Add the soups and water. Mix well. Add the cream cheese (in small pieces) and melt in. When all is incorporated, stir in the chives and pour mixture over chicken. Cook on low heat setting for 5 hours.

When it's done....cook, drain and plate the farfalle (bowties). Top with a piece of chicken and pour sauce on top.

Sounds yummy. Can I cut the recipe in half with out ruining the out come?

Middie.. tell idiot to make his own dinner.
Or feed him a bowl of cold oatmeal. lol

Yes, you can easily cut this recipe in half! I just have to cook larger amounts to feed the growing boys.

Middie - I have a better idea. Make this dinner anyway.

Thanks, itk.

No club here, just many years of cooking, that's all.
