Does anyone have any eperience with this item?

We're having trouble adjusting the chocolate's consistency so it will flow properly.

Thanks,

Interesting thread to read in the midst of all the chicken and turkey recipes, AndyM!:ROFLMAO: (Couldn't resist)

Sorry, I have nothing to offer re the chocolate fountain query!

We have a couple small ones (intended for home use) at the country club I work at. I have to thin the chocolate out with a little vegetable oil, for Dark Chocolate. White Chocolate doesn't work very well. I haven't tried using Milk Chocolate, as my boss doesn't buy it in bulk.

Be advised that these things can get VERY messy. Drips and dribbles from folks dipping things into the chocolate, as well as spills in loading the chocolate, as well as cleanup. It's a good idea to either put some disposable cover down over the table, or something that easily washed.

Thanks for the advice, folks.

We actually bought this as a gift for friends who are junk food junkies and gadget fiends as well. SO wants to set it up in their home as a surprise.

I guess I'll go meve this to the Cooking Equipment forum now.

I've never owned one but I went to a cooking show a few weekends ago
and they had two. One with milk chocolate and one with white chocolate.
Both were flowing nicely. I can see where they'd make a huge mess but oh those
cookies were good dipped in the warm choclolate bliss!
Good luck Andy!:):)
