Of course, I immediately typed in "pickle, avocado", knowing the the aussies are avo lovers like myself and got a great recipe for Chicken and Avocado Gateau with Pickled Cucumber and Citrus.

WOW!!!!! Nearly pickeled myself reading those recipes! My dad used to pickle "stuff" from pigs feet to watermelon - since he did most of it in the back of his garage (also home to his Beer Meister) I was never brave enough to try his experiments! This site is incredible! Thanks.

What an amazing list! That could keep someone busy for eons (and the canning jar people very happy! ). I've just started to browse through the list and "Arctic berry chutney" really caught my attention. Thank-you Constance, what a fab find!

Very cool find Constance ... out of curiosity, I searched for watermelon rind pickles and they had it! My grandmother makes them and I've only ever found the recipe in a really old (1900) cookbook.
Count me impressed!
