Do you think that it would be okay to make this recipe as shown and then put the marshmallows ontop and melt those?
I've only made a basic recipe of potatoes, b. sugar, pineapple and marshmallow before. This sounds too good to resist though, but, I have to have the marshmallows or it wouldn't be the same.

I think it would taste fine.

I'd mix the marshmallows in with the rest of
the topping though...not just spinkle them on top.

That is almost the same recipe I use for my casserole. I'd think it would be ok with the marshmallows on top, but if you ever eat it with the topping, you probably wouldn't make it with marshmallows again.

I saw a sweet potato casserole the other day that had a streusel topping on it. It looked good to me, as I'm not overly fond of nuts except in cookies, cakes and muffins.

I did put marshmallow on top and everyone loved it!!
This will be my new recipe from now on, unless, a better one comes up )

i always always always put marshmallows ontop of mine the stick them under the broiler until they're golden.
