Marinating steak

How long is to long to let your steak marinade?? I've had some marinating over night and wondered if 2 nights would be to much.

After overnight, you've gone as far as you can. After that, the marinade will start having a negative effect on the texture of the meat. The acid in the marinade will denature the meat proteins and the meat will start to get mushy.
