Wildfires are in full flame

People, PLEASE, stop burning your trash and stop throwing cigarettes out when there is a burn ban. I smoke too,but, you will NEVER see me throw out a cigarette.
People are losing their houses today. The news is showing this none stop. The videos are just sad!!

The one thing that causes road rage in ME is seeing the person in the car in front of me throw a lit cig out the car window. It makes me so angry!

I saw that on the news tonight. Hope conditions are much better shortly and the fires are out very soon. I agree with you about careless tossing of cigarettes, etc. It's dirty and absolutely dangerous, not to mention being stupid in the process.

A cigarette tossed out a window is what caused a 2,500 acre fire last summer near where I live. It is so frustrating that people are so careless. The only thing that makes me just as mad is people that litter.

I must admit, I did it when I was younger but never when it was hot and dry.

TG, I've been reading updates on the 'net about the wind-driven fires in Texas (and parts of Oklahoma, too). Whether they can be attributed to human carelessness, natural causes, or both, people ought to be more careful. Period.

FWIW, I wouldn't flick a cigarette (lit or otherwise) out of my car. Aside from the obvious fire hazard, I consider it littering. I am, however, guilty of dumping day-old coffee (or Pepsi, etc) along the road way...just the liquid, not the container!
