Hello all I was wondering if anyone knew anything about cooking times for convection ovens. I am cooking a royal sirlon tip roast and like a little moo the my beef in other words rare to medium-rare. does anyone know the temp and time needed to cook this roast. please and thank-you Buba:chef: Thank you for your responces, but it seems that almost everything in a convection oven cooks at 325 and a 2 lbs roast took 1 hour to cook to menium rare and it was very good. what made it royal was the fat and spices it was wraped in. again Thank -You:chef: :chef: :chef:

Welcome, Buba.

A lot depends on the size of the roast. I recommend you cook to an internal temperature rather than a set time.

I've heard of sirloin tip roasts. What makes this one 'royal'?

the fat it is raped in

I do not use my convection oven when I roast meat. If you can turn it off do so otherwise lower the temp 25* to 50* and roast for the regular time. A good themo. will help too.
