Beef Rib Bones

Anyone know if beef ribs are acceptable to give to dogs for chewing on? I know a lot of bones are no good, but I thought beef bones might be strong enough that they wouldn't break.

Thanks!

 They are not good for dogs as they can break them and splinter them which could cause serious problems. Raw hides are a better way to go.Its too bad cause we know how much they love them.

I give my dog beef rib bones once in a while, just for a treat. But my dogs are small pugs, so I don't worry about them getting a big chunk out. If you have a medium/larg dog, I wouldn't. If you have a big dog, a beef knuckle bone would be better. They're much thicker and take longer to chew through.
