Freezing ham

Oh yeah. It does.

If I make a big ham there comes a point where you don't even want to see the thing anymore. That's when I portion it and freeze it to use later.

Admittedly when I thaw it I usually chop it up and use it in recipes or eggs or something and don't serve the slices for dinner or anything.
 
I rarely eat fresh ham. I buy it in bulk, dice it and freeze it. I thaws quickly and works great in fried rice, eggs, etc. The texture will change a bit, but it works fine for my purposes.
