Can I make apple butter without cider?

Hey, we just found out on of our Greek friends is getting married next

Great, pdswife! Especially the last one which has so many helpful photos!

Sure wish I had a crockpot now since I had NO idea this took so long to cook, however -- gyros we've got over here; crockpots we don't. Maybe I'll wait 'til I drag one down from the U.K.
