I are happy, I got a cheap simply calphalon, chinese made 8" omelet pan, last week. DW finally decides she wants eggs for breakfest, so I got to try it out this morning.
Dropped a sliver of butter in it, whisked up an egg with a few drips of milk, salt and pepper and a few seconds later, and a gentle prod on one edge of the egg and it rolls up and out of the pan just like Martha!
I was amazed!
It may not hold up as well as a more expensive calphalon or a all clad, and I am not going to make the famous statement " I could buy 6 simply calphalons for the price of one Allclad". But it works for me for right now.
