Has anyone ever attended the technique classes offered at Williams-Sonoma stores? Our local store has started offering them this year and I was curious if they're any good. They last for an hour, require pre-registration (so you know that you won't be packed in like sardines), and are free. I was curious what people thought before I decided to register for any.

I took a BBQ class from a chef at a local restaurant here that I love. It was held at a local highschool. He also taught the same class at W-S. If it is the same thing you are looking at, the people who teach the classes are not W-S employees, but are actual chefs in the community. I LOVED the class I took and got a lot out of it. It is a free class. I say go for it. The only thing you have to lose is time.
