1 C. Butter
2 C. Flour
2 C Sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C. Milk
2 C. Fresh fuit...(NO Canned stuff)
1 More C. Sugar

Melt butter in oven. Mix flour, 2 cups sugar, baking powder and milk. Pour into oven. Mix Fresh fruit with 1 cup sugar and pour over dough. Bake for about 30 minutes. 6/8 coals on bottom 12/14 on top. I use a 12" bread oven.
This is good with "fresh" peaches, blackberries, blueberries, etc.

Now, if I cooked out of doors...this sounds great. I haven't used an pit and dutch oven since I was a Girl Scout Leader.

I have a feeling that Uncle Bob, somewhere in his past life, might have been a Boy Scout.

Actually Miss Connie I was never a Boy Scout. I was however; a charter member/president of The Lone Stag C. Company. I do enjoy outdoor cooking.
Check out my Out Door Kitchen in the "where we live" section. It is fun cooking the "old fashioned" way. Relaxing and peaceful.
