I looked into make liqourice one time and I found a recipe that was a cooked sugar recipe then had flour added to it after it came up to the desired temp...that one seemed right to me because I think the flour would achieve that liqourice texture that normal sugar candies can't...
I've never tried making it. I am a pretty good baker, but a bit of a dud when it comes to making candy, so if it is something I can easily buy, I usually do that rather than attempt to cook it.
