My husband and I are planning a romantic getaway to Vancouver, and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for food and dining.

The dining room in the Pan Pacific hotel. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of it, but OMG...the food is incredible. Its pricy, but worth it.

Five Sails restaurant...enjoy.

If you're talking BC and need a quick lunch go to Bojangles! It's a great sandwich place on the water front. Oh my. WONDERFUL!! The bread they make there is perfect. Go for the veggie sandwich. It's the best ever.

I'm interested in all price ranges. I'm sure there will be times where we might need a quick bite as well as fancy dinner. I want to have the full experience of Vancouver cuisine!

Ok, then IMO, the two best restaurants in Vancouver are C Restaurant and Lumiere.

If you only eat at one, I would recommend Lumiere. Raincity Grill is also good. For more casual dining, you can pretty much just pick what you feel like eating. Vancouver has all kinds of different restaurants and many of them are good.

Go to Chinatown. Good food at reasonable prices. After all, it IS Chinatown!

MY wife is originally from Vancouver BC, I love it there. I went to a couple Japanese places downtown but most of the time I was in BC my mother in law cooked, or else I did. Hey if you want an inexpensive breakfast, go to Tomahawk

There are some GREAT restaurants there. We at at a place near Whistler Blackcomb the specialized in wild game and it was amazing.

In the city there is NO shortage of great finds, especially around China Town.

You may wish to check out the Vancouver Restaurant guide. My personal favorites for ethnic food include Thai House and Tropika ( Malaysian ). I agree with ironchef above that for fine dining Lumiere is an excellent choice.
