In the deli section of the supermarket there is a creamy pasta salad that you can buy in a little plastic tub.

Does anyone know what I am talking about and if so what ingredients are in those?

That mayo of whatever is in it is just so creamy.

Thanks :)

So many recipes. If it's creamy it most likely has mayo in it. Maybe mayo and some oil based italian type of dressing/seasonings as well. I love pasta but I'm not too big on the pasta salads. The pasta just keeps absorbing the sauce until the texture of the pasta is lost and becomes a mushy mess IMO.

Having spent some time as a supermarket deli employee, I can say that it's most likely mayo, and some sort of dressing that's very heavy on the oil. It's not very healthy stuff. if there's no ingredients label, just ask the deli personnel, if they don't know they'll find the manager or the deli "chef" and they'll be able to tell you.

A creamy dressing usually contains mayo and maybe sour cream and/or some heavy cream.
