Well I had my Flat Iron steak seasoned and ready for the grill, a thunderstorm moved in--so much for the grill.

I figured what the heck. I wrapped it in foil, placed it in the oven for 30 minutes... Wow--great roast beef.... What a flexible cut of beef. Makes a wonderful steak and in a pinch--makes great roast beef......

Hey Jeff G... flat iron's are one of my favorite cuts. Try this recipe out when you get a chance. All you do is brown that puppy up in a cast iron skillet and drizzle some of this sauce on it.... easy and tasty. (I make the sauce way ahead of time and freeze it, so I always have some handy!) You can also use it with a hanger steak or flap steak works just as well.

Don't let grilling-gurus find out you sinned by "roasting" a "grilling" steak. lol You could of done worse, it could of been a fillet mignon :)
