I recently purchased Windows XP. AFter installing it, my audio worked fine with varius applications such as Winamp, RealPlayer, QuickTime Player, and plays audio DVD's and CD's and MP3's just fine. I also, just for grins, looked up a harmonica tutorial sight and was able to play the sounds from that site using RealPlayer. But I can't get sound when trying to access YouTube sites, or when using my computer to place audio calls through a program called - Skype. I've made sure my codec drivers, and media drivers are up to date. I also verified that no devices are muted, and all volumes are adjusted to the same level.

I'm out of ideas. Anybody got any ideas?

I'd first go to RealPlayer and crank up the volume there ... for some reason that always seems to be the place my audio gets "stuck" which makes it too low for any other program. Don't know why, just know that it is.

After that, I'm not much help.
