I'm all out of baking soda, so I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get rid of a bad smell in the fridge. I spilled some sauce with vinegar, and was too slow to clean it up. Now every thing smells funny. Any ideas?

A good vinegar and water mix will deoderize most everything. Yes it might smell like an Easter Egg for a few hours, but it is an inexpensive and safe way to deoderize!

Several years ago we moved into a place where the previous tenants had turned off the power and left almost everything in the fridge.

Yech, Blech, a thousand times that. It was the attack of the green and black stuff.

Soap, water, and sorry ya gotta get some baking soda.

We restored it, successfully.

I acquired a smelly fridge from my generous landlady (probably meat that had gone rancid) and stuffed it full of bunched up newspapers and a box of baking soda. Took the smell right out....newspapers combined with baking soda should help you in addition to any other suggestions
