PORK CHOP AND APPLE BAKE

4 to 5 PORK CHOPS
1 tablespoon(s) OIL
1 can(s) (21 ounce) APPLE PIE FILLING
1/2 teaspoon(s) SALT
1 cup(s) SWISS CHEESE; Shredded.
1/2 teaspoon(s) PARMESAN CHEESE; Can.
1/4 cup(s) BREAD CRUMBS; Dry.
1/8 teaspoon(s) THYME; Ground.
2 tablespoon(s) WATER
SALT; To Taste.
BLACK PEPPER; To Taste.

Brown chops in oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Put apple pie filling in a 13 x 9 pan; spread out evenly.
(Do not throw can away) Arrange browned pork chops on top of apples.
In a bowl combine salt, pepper, thyme, bread crumbs and both cheeses.
Sprinkle on top of pork chops.
Add water to the apple pie filling can and stir to clean can.
Drizzle water over pork chops.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until pork is done.

Pork cooked with apple is always fnatastic. I like to bake pork chops with half a cored cooking apple with sage and onion stuffing - just wrap it in tin foil and bake for 40 minutes. Beautiful!

I tried this recipe a few months ago and it turned out wonderful!

I did not have apple pie filling so I subbed applesauce with brown sugar.

It was devine, thanks for the recipe!
