Help too hot!!

I am not very well at the moment and DH made us a chicken dish with a fresh tomato based sauce. Problem is he got a little carried away with the chillis (fire-eaters at that) from our garden and it is sooooo hot! We do have leftovers and I was wondering whether anyone would know how to take some of heat out of the dish so it is more palatible.
 
I'm not sure what kind of dish it is but is it possible to turn the sauce into a rose sauce by adding sour cream or fresh cream to help soften some of the heat without losing too much of the flavour?
