I've never made this, and the net recipes are all over the place so...

It looks like

1. choose your meat... chicken parts, pork spare ribs, I even saw Beef short ribs...

2. Marinate over night in

1/4 cp. soy sauce
big squeeze of honey
small can crushed pineapple with juice
spices of choice
ginger
(I'm thinking Sirachi for heat)
(vinegar?)

3. cook meat, grill, bake , saute.

4. boil remaining marinade and use as sauce or glaze

serve on rice or noodles...

is that pretty much it? doesn't sound all that exotic, but a few recipes said " it sounds really sweet, but after cooking, not so much"

Thanks, Eric, Austin Tx.

Heres one that I had....

HULI HULI CHICKEN
Ingredients:
3 broken fryers, split or quartered
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup shoyu
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/3 cup white wine
1/4 cup frozen pineapple juice concentrate.
pinch of fresh or dried ginger.
drop or two of worcestershire sauce.
Procedure:
Mix ingredients in bowl, brush over washed chicken splits. Grill over barbecue, turning and basting with sauce until it is done (about 40 minutes). For a real hawaiian picnic lunch, eat with sticky rice, macaroni salad.
