If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
What's your recipe? Try goat cheese or farmers cheese.
Do you not like cream cheese? If not, I don't think you'll like goat either.
Welcome, by the way...:)

Tell us the reason behind the substitution for a better answer, don't like it, have a recipe and no cream cheese in the house, what? Welcome to DC from me too!!lol

Neufchatel cheese is a substitute for cream cheese. Kraft sells Neufchatel cheese as low fat version of its Philadelphia cream cheese. It's similar to American cream cheese but is naturally lower in fat.

If you're baking something sweet, I might go with the neufchatel option. For something savory you have lots of options. Laughing Cow makes some great low calorie spreadable cheeses (we're talking about 35 calories per wedge). You can find that with the other refridgerated cheeses, they come in many flavors too. Depending on what you're making you could also use a soft cheese like Brie, or a good gorganzola.

I too am looking for a substitute for cream cheese

My Dr has put me on a diet. And I am not allowed cow's milk because of the hormones:mad: I can't live without cheese. So I am searching for hormone free cheeses for consumption and to use in recipes!
