Hi,

Does anyone have a brownie recipe that does not require eggs?

Linda, somewhere there is a substitution for eggs. I think its something like a tbsp of water and 1 tsp of baking powder. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Found it! I personally have used the baking powder, oil and water one. For brownies I think that is how I'd go. I think the vinegar one would alter the flavour.
If the recipe uses 2-3 eggs or more, the eggs provide leavening. Several good substitutes (for one egg) include:

  • 1 heaping tablespoon Ener-G Food Egg Replacer® plus 2 tablespoons warm water.
  • 1 heaping tablespoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon oil plus 1 tablespoon warm water.
  • 1 heaping tablespoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon cider or apple vinegar plus 1 tablespoon warm water.
