Something said on "Eleventh Hour" last night got me to wondering how many people went to their prom. Some people assume everyone went, but I suspect the numbers aren't as high as some might think. So, did you go to your Senior Prom?

I probably would have gone if my boyfriend had asked me. His excuse was that he didn't want to drive down to San Diego. He liked driving, but he had a new truck, and goodness knows, that is all-important! It didn't bother me that we didn't go, since I can't dance, but it would have been nice to have been asked.

We call it Grad up here not Prom but I went. I kinda had to as I was singing at the commencement and at the party! LOL.

I did not attend my own high school prom. I was kind of nerdy and nerds did not attend proms.

But I was asked by a mother of a girl who attended an all girls' Catholic high school if I can do the favor of being her date for her high school prom. .....sort of like an arranged marriage type deal...:-p I kind of knew her and she was not my type. In fact, she was down right ugly.

In the poll above I checked: Yes, I didn't want to go and I did not have a good time.

I went to a couple of proms but not my own. I was a high-school drop out and was busy changing diapers by the time my prom would have come around.

I went and had fun at the party but it took a decided down turn afterward. The guy that took me assumed I was going to go steady with him after that and it was really our first date. We had know each other for years but had never gone out before. He was older and already gradutated when he took me to my prom. Needless to say I had to fend him off on the ride home. Back then, tickets were only sold for couples. I know at my boys high school, they could buy a single ticket and groups of friends would go and not worry about dates. That's what I would have done if that had been an option back in my day. I checked the didn't have a good time because of the way it ended. Personally, I think American culture puts too much emphasis on prom.

yes i went, but with my second choice of escorts. it was ok but not the big thrill it was billed to be. he was a college boy and full of himself. good lord, fifty two years ago and i still remember he was a jerk. lol

Went, wanted to have fun but my date was a dud so I had a horrible time.

Funny, my daughter is a senior this year, prom is in MAY and they are already making plans and finding dates.

no, had no interest in going, boyfriend at the time was willing to take me, but i was not for all the hoopla over it. Never have regreted it.

I did partipate as a classmember in decorating tho

Yes I went and took a guy that I really didn't know that wel(I went to an all girls Catholic high school so not much of a chance of meeting many guys)l but he turned out to be a nice guy and we had fun.Now my first homecoming game in college was a different story,It was a blind date my sister hooked me up with and he was nice enough but he got me pie-eyed drunk on bourbon and Coke.
