I would like to make a Jewish Apple Cake, but now have to make it with a sugar substitute if possible. Can that be done? I use the packets for coffee, etc, but don't know if they are OK for baking or do I purchase something different? Help!!

you can buy splenda in almost any grocery store. it comes in white and brown, which you can add, add same amount as sugar it calls for . last night made banana bread using a mix of white and brown. it is very moist and no one can tell the difference. have not made a cake so not sure how it would be. it is not the same volume wise as sugar.

That's what I've been using for all my deserts and cookies he past few weeks.

How about using honey? Spenda is my sugar substitue of choice when baking. I have used Equal's recipe for chocolate chip cookies and cheese cake.
