Flavored Sugars

I just was reading about flavored sugars and found a link on how to make them at home...Sounds like a fun way to spice up some foods. Plan to give it a try. I've made Vanilla sugar and love using it..Next, think I'll give lemon a shot.

Alton Brown had an episode where he used flavored sugars, and that's how I knew about the vanilla sugar (vanilla bean in the sugar). I was going to do that for my coffee, but I haven't had any beans since that show.

I've had a container with vanilla sugar for several years now. I love to sweeten my whipped cream with the vanilla sugar...The kids like a sugar sandwich with it too.

I'm going to start some lemon sugar tomorrow and maybe some lime as well..
