I want to make cute cupcakes for my bday (help a newbie please?)

Hello everyone~

I'm having my 17th birthday soon and I'd like to make really cute and awesome cupcakes for the party.
I saw these Chanel cupcakes online

and I think they are so creative! But I have no idea how to make the Chanel logo...is it using fondant?
and also these cute face cupcakes!

How do you draw on the cute faces? It looks like some kind of ink?

I'm a pretty inexperienced baker, but I'd really appreciate your help!
It would be really awesome if someone could give me a step by step guide on how to make both these kinds of cupcakes.

Those are cute cupcakes! I'm not a cake decorator but I know there are several that post here and they will be happy to help you! I know there are edible paints and you can always get creative with candies. Most craft stores have a cake section that has these kinds of things along with instruction books.
