Sophia’s Swiss Steak
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sifted flour
3 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 (2 pound) sirloin steak (1 1/2-inch thick)
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 Package of Lipton Onion soup mix
1 small can tomato sauce
2 cups of water
Directions:
1. Mix flour, salt and pepper.
2. Pound into steak with tenderizer or potato masher. Brown in olive oil in heavy skillet.
3. Add Lipton Onion Soup mix to the 2 cups of water mix well and pour over steak along with tomato sauce.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours.
