Which type of saucepan should I use for my pottery hob?

I hate to ask this, but being a Yank, I'm not quite sure what a pottery hob is. I'm thinking that in the states this would be called a ceramic stove.

If that is the case, then stainless steel or aluminum pots will work great. Ceramic coated cast iron and cast iron might be heavy enough to damage the ceramic surface of your hob.

I just did a google on "pottery hob" and it looks like you are talking about a ceramic cook top. It also looks like you've asked the question in several different forums. Any replies? you might want to rename it "ceramic cook top" and it might give you more replies.
