Hello,

So I'm making a cherry pie and pie crust from scratch. Would I need to blind bake the pie crust?

Thanks!

Blind baking GENERALLY only needs to be done when baking cream pies - pies that aren't going into the oven at all, or for just a very limited amount of time. Fruit pies don't fall into that category. They will stay in the oven long enough for top and bottom crusts to thoroughly bake.
