Bread crumbs

If I make bread crumbs from old bread and store them in an airtight container how long will they keep?

I make croutons and store them in a plastic bread bag in the refrigerator that last for two months or more.

I store bread crumbs in my freezer...They seem to last forever.

I make bread crumbs and do not store them in air tight container, and do not store them in refrigerator or freezer, and some times they less me for up to 3-4 month, depending how fast I use them, by the same tolken it could be only few days. I keep them on the kitchen conter. I think important thing is to make sure that all the moisture was proparly removed.

Completely of topic. I really appreciate when people come back and say thank you, or even simply acknowledge the fact of help. I think it is so polite. I am probably guilty of the opposite my self, but it is simply rude when people try to help, seat, search, type the answers and the original poster never comes back.
