I'm just beginning to learn how to cook and I decided to make a meatloaf. The receipe says to cook it uncovered but I don't want juices and oil all over my oven. My question is can I bake it covered in foil?

Or you could cover a cookie sheet with foil and put it on the rack beneath your meatloaf, still remaining true to the recipe, but saving your oven.

Yes, but you won't get the nice crust that is so common with meatloaf. It will be plain in color, relatively soft and with no carmelization.

Thank you! I will cover a baking sheet underneath it with foil.
