Hi Everyone!!!! :) Hope you're all having a good week!
So, here's my "thing" (problem? I don't know..) :
I can't eat any solids right now, and can't for about the next week. I do LOVE smoothies, and on my blog I just posted an entry with 11 smoothie recipes which I'm pretty happy with... But I love trying new things. (I'm currently trying some new "green" smoothies, adding lettuce and stuff into the mix... Interesting!)

What I'm wondering is if any of you out there have a favourite smoothie recipe?

Meal replacement smoothies are great, supplements added or not is fine, anything really! :)

Some examples of smoothies that I've already posted on my bloggy-thing are:

  • cafe mocha (one of my faves)
  • peanut butter cup (one of my faves)
  • melon pineapple (one of my faves)
  • orange banana cream
  • chocolate covered strawberry (one of my faves)
  • vanilla date
  • tropical
  • chocolate covered banana
  • lettuce berry
  • carrot apple
  • celery berry
:chef:

nikki, my wife goes to an organic, vegetarian cafe for smoothies almost everyday, and she's brought a few home for me. i have to admit i'm getting hooked on them as well.

here's the link: Natural Way Cafe

b05, b06, and b11 are our favourites so far. everything is blended with ice, and most drinks have a little plain soy milk in them to make them a bit creamy.

Thanks a bunch! :) Unfortunately, I live in Toronto, Canada... lol ;)
We have places similar to that here, I'll probably check one out on my way home today...
Although that list does give some good flavour ideas!

good smoothie recipes , had a smoothie for breakfast, using an ensure drink, banana and frozen peaches. using frozen fruit means no ice is needed. i make others, most of mine are fruit. gotta use yogurt or milk, 2% instead of ensure. to much sugar in ensure for my diabetes.

lol, nikki. i didn't figure you were gonna drive to joisey from tronto. ;)
i was just trying to give you some ideas. hth.

and that's a very good point, babe. dw has been adding frozen blueberries to her homemade concoctions because there's never any room in the freezer for ice.

i suddenly have a craving to gnaw on some frozen peaches.

My #1 favorite is 2parts buttermilk to 1part lime sherbet . You can add some protein powder if you want. Before you say "ewwwwww".......you just gotta try it.....it's delicious, even if you hate buttermilk!

I've been using Almond Milk for fruit smoothies, and it's great!!

whipped up a coffee and banana one just now. i put glass of left over coffee, spiked with splenda and french vanilla creamer almost always for later in day. put it in blender with sliced banana, blended, then add ice and blend. so yummy.

my fav: frozen banana, light chocolate soy milk (or reg choc soy milk, or reg choc milk, whatever), and peanut butter....if you dont add too much liquid, it comes out like soft serve ice cream....cant beat it....i assume your peanut butter cup recipe is similar

Wonderful list! :D Thinking of getting an oreo smoothie for my kid brother. That's he's favorite... :)
