Hi all,

Im looking to compile some lists of local food around US, by city. However, it is rather hard in the US to pin point food thats local. Can anyone suggest some local food for their city ?

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

Elk Stew
Chocolate Gravy
Everclear (aka. White Lightning, Home Brew, Moon Shine)

Your biggest problem is going to be cities that have culturally diverse neighborhoods. New York probably having the most.

Eastern NC
Pork BBQ (can be found in most any restaurant but the best is found in Greenville and Roanoke Rapids) however, homemade is best, IMHO.
Brunswick Stew
Fish Muddle (although it is becoming harder to find these days)

there are no real philly cheese steaks anywhere else in the world but Philadelphia.

I love loco mocos in Hawaii .... a real treat.

try to find chittlins anywhere but the deep south..... well, i have to admit i did have good ones in harlem once

Which restaurant in Greenville? THat's where I went to college.

Pittsburgh - pierogies and put french fries on everything, salads, sandwiches, etc.
