Does anyone here make mulled wine? On a cold winter's evening it's a great drink to warm you up - providing you're not going to drive somewhere! So, has anyone got a good recipe for mulled wine? :)

You may want to try this one:
Pour a bottle of good red wine into a sauce pan. Choose a light red, nothing too heavy. as it would clash with the fruit. Add about 10 tbsp sugar, 2 sticks of cinnamon, 1 tsp grated nutmeg, 3 oranges , sliced. One of the slices should be wider than the others so that you can stick 3 cloves in the peel. Also add the juice and peel of a lemon. Bring to the boil once. Of course, you can serve it straight away, but it's best to leave it be for several hours (make it in the morning for the afternoon). Reheat and serve.
This is a recipe from my grandmother. Of course, you can adjust the sugar or spices according to your taste.
Hope you like it!
