Mixing wet with Dry?

Hi everyone.

I had an idea about mixing in a teaspoon of Jack with a dry rub while it's blending in the vita mix.

Do you think it will work or will it gum up too bad?
 
you should be ok. although if it doesnt work maybe incorperate jack into a marinade and marinade your product first then use dry rub over it before grilling or whatnot.
 
if you're blending a tsp of rub, adding a tsp of liquid will gum it up.

if you're blending a cup of rub, adding a tsp of liquid will have no noticeable effect.
 
You could also use the Jack to moisten the meat before you apply the rub or spray it on after you apply the rub.
