There is a new country group called Sugarland. They have a song on the country charts right now called "Baby Girl" (not sure if it's being played on pop radio).
I know that not everyone is into country music, but I just bought this CD ("Twice the Speed of Life") and can't stop listening to it. It's strong from beginning to end and, if you haven't heard of them, you can follow this link and watch the video for Baby Girl. If you like that song you will love the rest of the CD. It is upbeat with great harmonies and a strong lead vocal with a lot of country soul.
