Good Afternoon, :)

One of my favorite snacks and appetisers include Grissini, or Italian breadsticks. This is a very simple recipe which comes from my Grandmom Margherite´s Trattoria ...

GRISSINI ( YIELD: 25 TO 30 ) :yum::chef:

1 1/4 cups hot water 115 degrees farenheit
2 cups unbleached flour
2 packages of yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt

WORK IN: :chef:

2 Cups flour more or less
3 tblsps. Evoo

1. Knead on floured work space and let rise in warm draft free place cover with a towel.
2. shape into 7 Inch long and 1 inch thick sticks.
3. roll in sesame seeds if desire or other spices and seeds ( eg: fennel )
4. bake at 375 degrees farenheit for 15 - 18 mins until golden brown, not burnt.

Prepare some dips: blue cheese, olive oil with sea salt, smoked salmon with cream cheese, provoletta = melted provolone with green and red bell pepper, wrap a thin slice of Proscuitto di Parma or other cold cut deli meat; etcetra ...

Enjoy. :yum:
