:yum: pasta salad with tagliatelli, strawberries, shrimp and basil lemon butter drizzled ...

This is just a summery delightful way to combine some of my fave ingredients ... and keeping it light ...

:chef: INGREDIENTS FOR 4 ...

300g tagliatelli
100g fresh shrimp
150g smoked salmon
150g fresh ripe red strawberries
1 tablespoon lemon zest
some fresh minced basil leaves
salt and freshly ground black pepper
25g of creamy French butter ( One can even employ one of Cerise´s lemon and basil compound butters )

1. rinse shrimp well and discard or devein as you are accustomed to
2. slice julienne the smoked salmon in strips
3. in a large sartén ( sauté skillet ) sauté the shrimp in a little butter and add the lemon zest and salt, and sprinkle the freshly ground pepper
4. boil pasta in salted water according to directions
5. in salad bowls, place the drained pasta, place the smoked salmon, halved strawberries and shrimp, and drizzle the lemon and butter sauce with basil and toss.

Serve with an iced tea with herbs if you wish, a Prosecco or a Rosé ... Enjoy ...

Buonasera Hoot,

Thank you ... It does have quite an interesting play of flavors, all blending so subtlely that it works ... Lemon and basil work with the two varieties of seafood and the strawberries add a very fragrant touch, and light acidic sweetness ... The pasta is ever so lovely ...

Enjoy,
and have lovely Sunday.
Margi
