Just got Martha Stewart's NEW Pies & Tarts * 150 recipes for old-fashioned and modern favorites. Beautiful book and illustrations, just wish it was a hard cover. First one I tried was the Coffee Cream Pie. Uhhm...... to die for. Followed the ingredients and directions exactly but it set just a little loose but delicious. I corrected it on the second try by cutting back the milk used by 1/4 cup and adding an extra Tblsp. cornstarch. Came out perfectly set. I used chocolate graham crackers and the food processor to make the crust. Very good. This is a delicious recipe.

That is great that you bought this cookbook, it sounds like it has some nice recipes in it :)

The coffee cream pie sounds delicious!

Oh ya, it has some really great sounding recipes. I think I'll try one of the savory pies next like Cherry Tomato, Mozzarella & Zucchini Pie. There is also a Mini-Chicken Pot Pies recipe that looks pretty flavorful :chef:
