SO found this on a tree outside a Trader Joe's. I don't have a clue what it is.
They're about an inch or so in diameter.

What is this?

Just messing with ya. Maybe some kid left it to get one over on someone.
You could always hand it out to the Trick or treaters. Let them worry about it while you soak up all the media's attention :)

It's marginally smaller than a nebula and grows on trees.
 
Google is never ever wrong. It's a Nebula. Told you it was left by Aliens.:LOL:

Speaking of oddball fruits, my next door neighbor brought one of these green nebulas over to my house last year. It's an Osage Orange. Equally ugly. Not edible, though. :LOL:
